Superb Fruit-dove

Ptilinopus superbus

With a varied green and gold plumage interspersed with black spots, the Superb Fruit-dove is well camouflaged in tropical rainforests despite a red crown. Most commonly found in North Queensland, the Superb Fruit-dove can occasionally be spotted further down the east coast. Dinner for the Superb Fruit-dove comprises a variety of rainforest fruits.
